In order to screen oat varieties suitable for planting in Qiqihar region, entropy weight based gray relational analysis was used to evaluate agronomic characteristics and forage quality of nine oat (Avena sativa L.) varieties. The results showed that the plant height of Menglong was more than 120 cm, which was not significantly different from Jili and Modeng, but significantly higher than the other varieties(P<0.05). Hanma showed the highest fresh grass yield (49 395 kg·hm-2); Longmu 12 showed the highest hay yield (13 837 kg·hm-2). The contents of water-soluble carbohydrates (WSC), crude protein(CP), ether extract(EE), acid detergent fiber(ADF), neutral detergent fiber(NDF), crude ash(ASH), acid detergent lignin(ADL) and relative forage quality(RFQ) of the nine oat varieties were 10.52%-12.55%, 6.58%-9.88%, 1.96%-2.83%, 32.67%-39.52%, 59.47%-68.34%, 6.99%-10.40%, 3.50%-4.47% and 85.00-110.67, respectively. Menglong, Longmu 12 and Jili had significantly lower CP than other varieties(P<0.05). Taike showed significantly higher ASH than other varieties. Longmu 12 showed significantly higher ADF and NDF than other varieties. Base on grey relational analysis of agronomic characteristics and forage quality, it was found that Longmu 12, Hanma and Youmu 1 are the most suitable varieties as forage planted in the region. |
