In order to study the diversity of dietary fiber composition, content and quality of naked oat among different varieties, improve quality evaluation system of naked oat, and select superior germplasm, the main composition of dietary fiber(β-glucan, hemicellulose, pectin, cellulose, oligosaccharide, and resistant starch) and nutrient indices (protein, starch, ash, and fat) of 24 naked oat cultivars were determined. The quality of naked oat was evaluated comprehensively by principal component analysis(PCA) and cluster analysis. The results showed that β-glucan and hemicellulose accounted for 31.2%-49.0% and 25.8%-48.7% of total dietary fiber, respectively, which are major components of dietary fiber in naked oat. The result of principal component analysis showed that nine quality indicators were consolidated into four principal components. Protein, hemicellulose, β-glucan, and pectin were screened using PCA as the core indicators for comprehensive evaluation of different naked oat cultivars. Comprehensive nutrient quality of Zhangyou 8, Diyan 1, Baiyan 16, Bayou 13, Weiduyou 5, Baiyan 2, Jinyan 17, Bayou 16, Bayou 18, and Baiyan 18 were much better than that of other cultivars. The result of cluster analysis showed that 24 naked oat cultivars were classified into five categories. The contents of protein, β-glucan, and fat of the cultivars in categories Ⅲ were highest, and the hemicellulose content of the cultivars in categories Ⅳ was higher. There were one naked oat cultivars from categories Ⅲ, two naked oat cultivars from categories Ⅱ, three naked oat cultivars from categories Ⅳ, and four naked oat cultivars from categories Ⅰ ranked as the top 10 of comprehensive evaluation and these 10 cultivars can be regarded as excellent naked oat cultivars. These results provide theoretical basis for breeding high quality with high dietary fiber naked oat cultivars and hybridization. |
