The aim of this paper was to discuss the mutagenic effects of 60Co irradiation treatment on wheat. Dry seeds of Chongqing Bread Wheat were irradiated by 60Coγ-rays with the dosage of 250Gy. The variation of plant height, yield traits, quality traits of 317 M3 lines were analyzed. The result showed that there were plentiful diversity of plant height, spike number, spike length, spikelet number, 1000-grain weight, grain number per spike, grain weight per spike, line yield, protein content and wet gluten content in M3 generation. 38 positive and 6 negative mutant lines for 10 characters above were identified depending on the selection criterion of over mean±2.58SD(P≤0.01). Line 48, line 58, line 71, line 307 and line 311 had better comprehensive character, which were much more than Chongqing Bread Wheat in line yield, protein content and wet gluten content. One mutant line of HMW-GS were identified in M3 by SDS-PAGE, which is named Line 292 with three subunits differed from Chongqing Bread Wheat. The analysis of mutant lines variation indicated that abundant genetic variations could result, the genetic base in original variety could be broadened, and glutenin locus could be occurred from the 60Coγ-rays radiation. |
