To know the difference of wheat cultivars to late planting, six major wheat varieties (Yangmai 16, Yangmai 18, Yangmai 20, Zhenmai 9, Ningmai 14, and Zhenmai 168) were planted at four sowing dates of Nov. 8, Nov. 15, Nov. 22 and Nov. 29, the characters of yield, growth and development, and resistances to stresses were studied in this study. The results showed that, with the delay of the sowing date, the yield of all wheat varieties decreased. The yield of both Yangmai 18 and Zhenmai 9 was over 4500 kg·hm-2 in the four sowing dates, which indicated that they had better yielding ability and resistance to late planting. Although Yangmai 18 had the strongest resistance to FHB, but it had the longest growth period with 190~260 d in the four sowing dates, the mature period was delayed to June 6 and it was the sole variety with certain lodging. In the condition of this study, it showed that Nov. 8 to 15 was the suitable sowing date in Huainan wheat area of Jiangsu province. November 22 was critical date for late planting in Huainan wheat area. Zhenmai 9 had better comprehensive agronomic traits and adaptability to date planting in Huainan. |
