Quantitative trait loci of main agronomic traits of wheatgrass were studied to provide basis for molecular assisted breeding of wheatgrass. The Agropyron mongolicun, A. cristatum cv. Fairway and their F2 population were used as test materials. Based on the constructed genetic linkage map of wheatgrass, the quantitative trait loci of ten main agronomic traits of stem diameter, leaf length, leaf width, tiller number, ratio of stem to leaf, leaf number, spikelet length, individual fresh weight and individual dry weight were analyzed with the multiple QTL models. Total of 13 quantitative traits loci were detected, which were distributed in linkage group 1, linkage group 2, linkage group 3, linkage group 4, linkage group 5 and linkage group 7. The additive allelic effects were different among the 13 quantitative traits loci with genetic contribution ranged in 10.1%~33.9%. There were a quantitative trait locus related to plant height, a quantitative trait locus related to leaf length, a quantitative trait locus related to individual fresh weight, two quantitative trait loci related to individual dry weight, a quantitative trait locus related to leaf width, a quantitative trait locus related to tiller number, two quantitative trait loci related to stem diameter, a quantitative trait locus related to leaf number, two quantitative trait loci related to ratio of stem to leaf, a quantitative trait locus related to spike length. |
